About Laurie

I began my professional grooming career as an apprentice bather while in high school over 20 years ago and have never considered any other alternative. 

Quite soon I became an apprentice groomer; learning from several very experienced very dedicated groomers for another 20 months before I was ready to be unleashed, so to speak. 

During my apprenticeship I learned not only all the different breeds of dogs but appropriate trims for each one, alternative trims as requested by owners, as well as trims necessitated by the shape, health, and coat condition of the dog. 

Over time I also learned how important canine behavior is in my business and how calm, consistent, and confident handling (or lack of) can make or break the relationship a groomer tries to build with all the dogs.  Trust must be earned and that’s what I do. 

Truly, I am one of those favored few who LOVE our work.
